Simple, they merge or one buys the other out. General Motors has spent the last month secretly (though, not so secret as of late) discussing a merger between their company and Chrysler Dodge Jeep owner Cerberus. If the deal were to pass it would form one of the largest car manufacturers in the world, and without a doubt the biggest in North America.

But with any merger, someone has to stay while another has to go. Who will make the final cut? Will Chrysler’s 300 be branded a GM product, or the Jeep Wrangler make an appearance fighting against LaBeef and Megan Fox in a third Transformers film (the movies feature a variety of GM vehicles).

Unfortunately, with the stock market plummeting off the charts like lemmings over a cliff any such merger talks have been put on hold. GM is hemorrhaging approximately $1 Billion dollars a month, which Cerberus is dealing with a hurting Chrysler LLC. So, for now at least, we can only dream of a world where a Dodge Viper – HUMMER edition comes to life.
