Chrysler Kills Lifetime Powertrain Warranty
Tough times for the Chrysler/Fiat Merger, as the company goes through some restructuring they announced yesterday the end of their famous Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. Chrysler Group LLC is canceling the previous lifetime powertrain warranty on all Chrysler models and replacing it with a five-year/100,000 warranty. This will be transferable without cost when Chrysler group vehicles from the 2010 model year onwards change hands. Vehicles sold before the 2010 model year with the lifetime powertrain warranty will not be affected by the change.
